I understand the struggle to actually enter into hope. It always felt very sentimental and ignorant to me. But then I would look at people like Sue L. and think, I am dead wrong. Only problem was HOW did I become more like that being ME?

Wish I didn’t have to work tomorrow, would love to watch the inauguration, though I am sure I can catch the highlights on line. Enjoy.

I have a tough time believing that. I would be interested to see the actual laws and policies. I would think that they would do everything possible to make every vote count. Of course they want to avoid people registering and voting twice, but 300,000 voters is a pretty high number.

This is scary. man.. I’ve been told that voting in person on the date this year is going to be horrible because of upwards of 50 some amendments that need to be voted on. What do we have to do to keep our sanity and our rights! This is crazy.

I am enjoying your blog. I followed you here from Ellen’s blog. I am also a Christian, though I have been a democrat for years and have seen the paradox of politics and religion. The emotional blackmail has always made me very sad.

You have articulated so well how I have been feeling and how it confuses people in my past to hear that I am no longer “in their camp” – when did common sense become a game? When did it become more important for one “team” to win instead of truth to win?

I am stunned that people can hear the same thing I am hearing, but with such different ears. If America misses the boat on this they don’t deserve him. It sickens me to think of the horror four years of that secretive, warmongering, power-hungry duo could do to this country.
